I typically shy away from formal introductions. I believe that respect should come from who I am as a person, rather than just my titles or accolades.
However, in a world that values titles, education, and experience as measures of worthiness, I understand the importance of a proper introduction. So, let me share a bit about myself.
I am Dontisha Davis, a native of El Dorado, Arkansas, and I’ve always harbored the dream of empowering women. This aspiration was nurtured by the unwavering support of my mother, the inspirational figures in my church community, and my deep-rooted faith in God.
I’ve ventured beyond traditional academic boundaries to obtain my license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. My journey, marked by personal trials and extensive experience in the mental health field, has sharpened my focus on the challenges women face regarding self-esteem, identity, trauma, abuse, and achieving harmony between their personal and professional lives. These insights have motivated me to do more than just therapy, which led to my entrepreneurial venture.
Currently, I am pursuing a doctorate degree—not out of a mere love for academia but driven by my belief in relentlessly creating the best version of my life, with learning as a continuous journey.
If you're like me and have had the wonderful opportunity to obtain educational degrees and pursue careers that require them, remember that people matter more than the problems we solve.
"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all."
